personal checks
A friend wrote me personal checks that I cashed out for them and now I owe $1000. I did it because they lost their bank card and knew they needed money to pay rent. I was wondering if I have any valid legal options. I know he has a warrant for his arrest and has written numerous checks that have bounced(as well as forging other people’s)

Please be serious.

The only reason is because I ‘m trying to sell a $500 best buy gift card and paypal takes almost $15 out of that just on fees plus Ebay takes another $15 for listing and final value.

Would the bid be lower if I only accept personal checks, money orders, western union? Is there a risk if I don’t accept paypal?

What information should I have printed on my personal checks?

It’s time to reorder. I remember reading that to reduce the chance of identity theft, do not print your phone number on your checks. Also, I thought it said to print initials only, not full name. Anything else? This begs the question, why print anything on your checks? No name, address, etc. Why not?

I really like Louis Vuitton and was wondering if anyone knew if any check company made personal checks you could order with the Louis Vuitton logos/designs on them. You can get everything else with it on it, so I was wondering about personal checks.

I am opening a used bookstore and want to know the risks/taxes/rates I will face from allowing personal checks, credit cards, and other means of payment.
