Why do some personal checks have no contact information?

personal checks
I recently opened an account, and they provided me with a checkbook including about 8 checks, none of which have my name and address in the upper left hand corner. Is this normal, or are they basically worthless due to that area being blank?

These checks are fine. Check the bottom of the check to ensure your account is printed on the check, if it is then your ok.

All banks usually give 8-10 check sot hold you over utnil you receive your pre-printed checks. The banks I have dealt with usually type in your information for you as a service. You can do this at home which would make it easier to use them at the store. just expain that you just oppened your account

Whenever you open a checking account, the bank provides you with starter checks that provided you an opportunity to spend the money that you have deposited. The bank person should have asked your preferences for ordering checks of your choice. The starter checks should only be used until ordered checks arrive in the mail.

The checks you order should include the contact info that you choose. For example, some people choose to have their phone number on the check; others do not.

Call your banking professional to make sure that personalized checks have been ordered.
